Insurance
WNC Psychological Services is currently in-network with Aetna and BCBS for certain services. We can help to verify benefits prior to our work together.
Many plans offer reimbursement for out-of-network providers. I will provide you with a “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement directly to you. We encourage you to get in touch with your insurance company to ask about out-of-network mental health benefits. Some questions to ask your insurance company include:
-
Do I have out-of-network coverage for a Licensed Psychologist providing in-office visits? Is telehealth covered?
-
What is my coverage/how much do you cover for those services?
-
Do I have a deductible or out-of-pocket amount that I have to pay before those benefits begin?
-
Where and how would I submit my monthly “superbill” for reimbursement?

Good Faith Estimate

-
Under the law, for clients paying out of pocket (i.e., not using insurance), healthcare providers need to give an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy and psychological evaluation services.
-
You can ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.
-
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
-
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
